Our Services
Dyslexia Remediation
We use the Orton-Gillingham-based Barton Reading and Spelling curriculum with our students. While the curriculum is tailored to the child’s needs, parents can expect that in the early stages of remediation, kids will learn to identify sounds within a word, then blend each of those sounds into a real word. Later on, we teach children to blend more and more sophisticated syllables into real words.
Our sessions are one-on-one and can be conducted in-person or virtually.
Consulting
We help parents understand how to support their child’s education outside of tutoring sessions. This is an ongoing process that starts with our initial meeting and consultation, and continues till the student has completed remediation (and sometimes beyond). Our goal is to understand how each child learns best and how to create an approach to academics that sets them up for success.
